Check whether an incorrect detail points to another company

Intrix now flags possible confusion with similarly named companies in the external assets view’s incorrect information sources section and the report’s consistency check. The flag helps your team review who a source page describes before preparing a correction request.

Check the company behind the source

When your business name is absent from both the page title and the passage taken from the page supporting an incorrect value, Intrix indicates that it may describe another company with the same or a similar name.

This is a prompt to check the page’s subject. It does not establish that the page belongs to another company. Read the title and passage alongside your official details to decide what needs a closer review.

Look for information from another business or location

AI can mix information from businesses or locations with similar names. For example, an answer about your location may use another branch’s opening hours. The hours on that source page could be correct for the branch it describes, even though they are wrong in the answer about yours.

Recognizing that difference gives your team a clearer basis for choosing where to direct its effort.

Review the target before requesting a correction

Asking a publisher to replace accurate information about another business with your details can send the work in the wrong direction. Check whether the source actually needs a correction or whether your official information needs to distinguish your company and location more clearly.

Turn the finding into a practical next step

Bring the source passage, business name, and official details into the same discussion. For help diagnosing mixed company information and choosing improvements, talk to Intrix. After the work, regular measurement helps you follow how AI answers describe your business.
